ILLUSTRATION

This Lock-down due to covid-19 has changed my routine completely. I have online classes 4 days a week, attend webinars, zoom meetings, work on my college assignments and also handle my interest areas at the same time.  My online sessions start at 8:30 am in the morning so I sit along with my cup of coffee and my Phone and Earplugs are mandatory anyways.  Sometimes my classes extend the timings and I have to re plan all my work just to balance my personal and professional life. And sometimes it so happens that my classes are not scheduled for a particular day, I have the whole day to finish one assignment and within a blink of eye the whole day goes away and not a single assignment is completed- it is just so annoying.  So as shown in the illustration, I have started Multitasking as I have to make documents and reports, 3d modelling, webinars, take care of my health, spend time with my family and friends, get some peace of mind, pray, etc. On the left hand side, many words...

BOOK REVIEW - IT HAPPENS FOR A REASON

Image
Hi everyone, Hope everyone is safe and is staying home. So amidst the lockdown, to spend some time,  I wanted to read a book but it was difficult to  find a book. Though many apps provide softcopy and audiobooks, the real fun is reading one with a hand. Fortunately, I got one and this book attracted me very much. How many times we have cursed our lives and destiny just because something did not go according to what we had thought of?  Yes, even I have done it, and because of this the rest of the day or the moment gets spoiled. So, the Book I was talking about is 'It Happens for a Reason" by Preeti Shenoy. It got an immediate big smile on my face. I could just connect it through the title itself. I started reading it and just could not get the book out of my mind. Every time I finished a chapter, I would feel as if the next chapter is calling me to read it. So the book justifies the title. The whole book tells the story making the readers understand how many and the differ...

COVID-19

As the world is going through the major pandemic covid-19, many places are in lockdown mode! School, colleges, offices are also shut. It is a kind of curfew where people are supposed to stay at homes all the time and not come out. But have you noticed something? This has promoted family time in all the houses. Personally speaking, every night amidst the lockdown in city, my family is having a great time most importantly spending time together-playing different games everyday, listening to stories of the times when riots broke out in Mumbai and yes of course praying together for the betterment of the world. I even heard how people stayed wherever they were when the riots broke out in 1992. People even lost hope of their loved ones coming back home or meeting them again. But it's always overwhelming when you see them when there is no hope, it's a great feeling of satisfaction. And if we see what is happening today, people are not ready to stay home when they are getting...

LOST IN SPACE REVIEW

Image
Hi everyone. I was watching LOST IN SPACE a Netflix original series for one of my Design Fiction assignment in college. This series is all about science fiction, mystery and adventure. It is created by Irwin Allen, Matt Sazama, Burk Sharpless. The main characters in are Molly Parker [Maureen Robinson], Maxwell Jenkins [Will Robinson], Toby  Stephens [John Robinsons], Taylor Russell [Judy Robinson], Mina Sundwall [Penny Robinson], Ignacio Serricchio [Don West], Parker Poesy [Dr. Smith]. I found it so good, it had suspense in a proper amount so that there are no confusions at the end of every episode. It was just mesmerizing seeing something happening in outer space. seeing the big spaceships which just feels like home. The story starts with the Robinson family crash landing on an alien planet. And as soon as they landed, troubles and problems were already awaiting. They find a Robot and he gets attached to the boy and accompanies him through out the journey. As a family they...

CREATING A VISUAL EXPERIENCE

Image
I recently took part in a workshop which took place in my college itself. The workshop was about Creating a visual experience. So on the first day we made a list of appealing and disturbing visuals and then later on selecting any 5 keywords from our list and then creating a story for kids. First step was to create a plot and then elaborating the story and creating frames. Frames divide the whole story into parts or sequence we can say. after discussing the plot and the storyline with the faculty I started making it digitally. I kept it minimal and tried putting bright colors so that it looks attractive. I made animated face features and used funky dialog box. I then decided to show the whole scenario happening in a book which is kept on a bag at the airport. Our faculty also explained us the reason why should someone buy your design. Another element which we focused on in this workshop was something complimentary items along with the product. It is not compulsory to put in each a...
