Summer in Mumbai

This year too, in the summers, I visited Mumbai at my maternal grandparents house. Well,  visiting in summer brings back the childhood memories of summer holidays during school and how eagerly I waited to pack my bags and enjoy those days.

Bringing all the memories back, this time it was something like that. I can say that I traveled to different parts of Mumbai this time. Every day, it used to be a new place I went to, either for shopping, work or just for fun.

I started my trip by visiting the recently built Coastal Road, and Whoa! It's hard to believe you are traveling across the ocean on a road built by humans. The idea is such (words cannot express how I feel and what I've experienced). I really enjoyed it, and once we got to Marine Drive, we waited long for sandwich ice cream. Like really long because of the amount of crowd over there.

Mom and I met our cousins for lunch, and we went to fine dining. This was my first experience, and the atmosphere was quiet and comfortable, the food just melted in the mouth. In our meeting, we just went on planning what we wanted to do. And since then, I have been really looking forward to all the plans we made.

Then came the best day of my trip, the day I visited my relatives house. I met Nawab, the  cutest cat I've ever met. I can't describe this feeling. He is so cute, and I just melted when I saw his face, so innocent, and his eyes so big. I played with him the whole time I was there.

I also visited KitCat Cafe, where they adopt stray cats, keep them, and take care of them along with other Persian cats. And that day itself, I saw Mumbai rain with heavy sandstorms. The city had gone crazy with winds, and it became very dangerous. That day was full of joyful and happy moments. One of the best days in Mumbai.

We found out that there are penguins in the City Zoo. No one would want to leave that chance except if going to Antarctica to see the Penguins😂 When we visited the zoo and saw them, they were so cute. With the large amount of crowd, the penguins must be wondering who these creatures are looking at us with awestruck wide eyes and capturing us. We also saw a wide variety of birds and a few animals.

Following our visit to the zoo, we went to the Gateway of India, explored that part of Mumbai, clicked pictures, and, visited an old cafe, like any other tourist. We walked along the sea line, the sea view with yatchs and other boats, the sound of the waves was relaxing for a sea view lover like me.

To catch up with my college pals, I had to make sure I went this time. We picked the  popular Asian cuisine. It was my first time trying sushi🍣. Absolutely this was very delicious. It had been on my list for a very long time, and without a doubt my taste buds were totally in love.

I'm happy to conclude my two-week break by saying that, this time, I visited multiple areas of Mumbai; going in and around the city through all modes of transport, traveling to the eastern side and Navi Mumbai, and visiting town like a tourist.

This trip was truly to spend time with mom and myself, reset, and refresh my brain from my routine. And I am really happy as I got to spend the days well, different from usual, including the different ways of exploring the city.

As I write this blog today after days of returning back and reliving those days, I do feel such breaks are important where you just focus on having fun and spending time with your friends, family, and mainly yourself.
