POEM

I am a door,
standing strong at place,
since so many years.
I have seen the changes
happening since the years.
People who spent their childhood here,
are now lost in their own world
forgetting how many memories it has given them.
Not only memories but also
a bond, an attachment, with the surroundings.
The Family also shifts to cities
for a better lifestyle.
But the only thing that has changed here
is the people.
Earlier it was a Family which stayed here
but now it is only a few kids and the staff,
whom I see everyday
in blue uniform, with bags and bottles,
some crying and some laughing.
I also see people getting wood for their home,
or some taking their cattle to raise.
It feels very nice,
when someone unlocks me.
I kind of get an exercise.
But more than being unlocked,
I am in a still position locked,
sometimes for hours
but sometimes for days.
Though all the problems,
I am standing strong
protecting the place which has the walkway through me.
