BOOK REVIEW - THE ALCHEMIST

I am really late in reading and reviewing this book and I think by now probably a lot of book lovers must have read it and discussed it with the readers. But after days of buying this book and planning to read it and then forgetting about it and then starting to read it all over again, I have finally finished the book.

The International bestseller - The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is a book about following your dreams. The main character of the book is a shepherd boy named Santiago from Andalusia. The whole story of this book revolves around how the boy follows his heart to fulfill his dreams and solve his problems. Throughout his journey he meets new people who have different opinions but still he does what he feels right.

I liked a few quotes from this book which are:

"When you want something, all of the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it." which is quite famous,

“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.”

“One is loved because one is loved. No reason is needed for loving.”

" If you can concentrate always on the present, you'll be a happy man."

The story starts with Andalusia then to Tangier and ends in the desserts of Egypt. A lot of times 'Omens' are mentioned in the book which help the boy in his journey. Well omens are nothing but small guiding things/path you receive from your surrounding which help you reach a decision. If you observe you might have experienced such Omens too when you have faced difficulties.

Next time you experience any such Omen do remember this book and this brave boy - Santiago. But also remember that not everything is an Omen.

I would definitely recommend this book and its a 4/5 ⭐ for me.

Happy reading!!
